Ganesh Chaturthi- A lord Of Wisdom And Prosperity

 The festival will begin on Ganesh Chaturthi which is falling on 31 August this time. However, the Ganesh Chaturthi tithi will fall between 30 and 31 August. The Tithi time will begin at 3:33 pm on 30 August and will last till 3:22 pm the next day.

LEGEND ON LORD GANESHA Goddess Parvati was the creator of Ganpati. She, in the absence of Lord Shiva, used her sandalwood paste to create Ganesha and put him to guard while she had gone for bathing. While she was gone, Lord Shiva got into a fight with Ganesha as he did not allow him to enter, as per his mother's orders.

It's said that Lord Ganesha's mother, Goddess Parvati, carved an idol of a boy out of turmeric powder and breathed life into it, unbeknownst to her husband, Lord Shiva. So, when Ganesha denied Lord Shiva entry into his abode--because Goddess Parvati was bathing inside--Shiva decapitated Ganesha's head in anger.

Declared the winner, Ganesha promptly married not one but two daughters of Prajapati: Buddhi (Wisdom) and Siddhi (Success), with whom he had two sons: Kshema and Laabha.                                                                                                                                 Ganesha is associated with prosperity, good fortune, and wisdom. Many people worship Ganesha because they believe he his benevolence will help improve their physical position in the world. Ganesha is the deity associated with removing obstacles in your life.

Each deity either represents or is in charge of some aspect of life. Ganesha is prominently known as the remover of obstacles. Because of this, many Hindus worship him before any major endeavor they undertake – be it business, marriage, childbirth,etc. Modaks are Lord Ganesha's favourite foods so much so that he is also known as 'Modapriya'. There are several stories that mention his love for the sweet dumplings. Made with rice flour, coconut, jaggery and steamed to perfection, devotees prepare several types of Modak and offer them as a prasad Like all gods in the Hindu pantheon, Ganesh has a mythological origin. He is the son of Shiva and his consort Parvati, both of human form and yet he bears the head of an elephant. The reason for this closely follows his birth or more appropriately his creation. He was not born to Parvati as mere mortal are.

                                                                     The favourite colours of Lord Ganesha are green and yellow. This is why Lord Ganesha loves the marigold flowers because of the pure yellow colour that these flowers have. All of Ganesha's favourite things must be offered to him during Ganesh Chaturthi whenever he is worshipped by his devotees.

Impressed by her younger son's idea of true devotion, Goddess Parvati gave him the modak and this is how he became fond of it. Since then, Modaks are offered to Lord Ganesha on Ganesh Chaturthi, and the number of modaks offered should be specifically 21, as per traditionally followed rituals.

HIS FAMILY Wives of Ganesh- Everyone is familiar with Shri Ganesh's two wives Riddhi and Sidhi. He also had three other wives. Whose name is Tushti, Pushti and shree. Son of Shri Ganesh- If we talk about the son of Ganesha, his son's name is Shubh and labh.

HIS WORK In the first part of the epic poem Mahabharata, it is written that the sage Vyasa (Vyāsa) asked Ganesha to transcribe the poem as he dictated it to him. Ganesha agreed, but only on the condition that Vyasa recite the poem uninterrupted, without pausing.From the place where the motor vehicles stop at the Manna village this cave is around a km distance by walk. A small cement path leads to the Ganesha Gufa, Vyasa Gufa and the last tea shop. It is believed that while Vysa recited the Mahabharata in the Vyasa Gufa, Lord Ganesha wrote the same in this cave.

Rig Veda begins with the invocation of Lord Ganesha, who is described as the Chief of Ganas (divine beings) and as the Supreme Seer (Rig Veda 2.23). Apparently Yajur Veda also mentions 'Salutations to you Ganas and to the Lord of Ganas'. (Yajur Veda 16-25).

The widespread name of Ganesha in Thailand is Phra Phikanet. The earliest images and mention of Ganesha names as a major deity in present-day Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam date from the 7th and 8th centuries, and these mirror Indian examples of the 5th century or earlier.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi, in Hinduism, 10-day festival marking the birth of the elephant-headed deity Ganesha, the god of prosperity and wisdom. It begins on the fourth day (chaturthi) of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September), the sixth month of the Hindu calendar.

The tiny mouse could not bear his weight and tripped. The moon started laughing at the funny sight. Ganesha got angry and cursed the moon saying that anyone who looks at the moon on the night of the Ganesh Chaturthi will be falsely accused.

Meanwhile, as per the tradition, it is believed that if a person sees the moon on Ganesh Chaturthi, they'll be cursed with accusations of theft, or as known in the legend, the Mithya Dosha.

The Chaturthi Tithi will last from 03:33 pm on August 30, 2022, to 03:22 pm on August 31, 2022. Additionally, one should avoid sighting the moon from 03:33 pm to 08:39 on August 30, and 09:26 am to 09:11 pm on August 31.

Seeing the love and devotion that His son Ganesha has towards Him and Parvati, Lord Shiva blessed Ganesha and told devotees to worship Ganesha before starting any auspicious activity. The Hindu line of thought therefore worships Lord Ganesha before every katha or puja.
