SECTION{ A} READING

Q[1] Read the Following Passage Carefully and and answers the question given below [ Any five ,Each question carries 2 marks] ....10 marks 

Lakshita and Lakshika, inseparable best friends, were thrilled about their planned picnic to the picturesque hillside. The sun was shining, and the air was filled with laughter as they hiked up the scenic path. The duo stumbled upon a clearing where two other children were celebrating, dancing, and enjoying the beautiful day.

However, their joy was short-lived as one of the children suddenly burst into tears. The distressing sight caught the attention of Lakshita and Lakshika, who rushed over to find out what had happened. The ailing child was holding his arm, clearly in pain. The friends learned that he had fallen while dancing and injured himself.

To make matters more challenging, they realized there was no telephone network in the remote hillside location, making it impossible to call for an ambulance. Undeterred, Lakshita and Lakshika put their heads together to come up with a plan to help the injured child.

They quickly gathered some nearby leaves and fashioned a makeshift splint for the child's injured arm. Lakshita used her scarf as a sling to support the arm and minimize movement. Meanwhile, Lakshika, with her resourcefulness, found a nearby stream and soaked a piece of cloth to cool the child's forehead and alleviate some of his discomfort.

Despite the lack of immediate medical assistance, the friends made the best of their surroundings and improvised to provide first aid. They carefully helped the injured child to sit up, offering comfort and reassurance. The child's tears turned to gratitude as he realized the genuine concern and kindness extended by Lakshita and Lakshika.

As they continued their picnic, now with an unexpected twist, the friends couldn't help but reflect on the importance of being prepared and resourceful in unexpected situations. They encouraged peer learning and created a supportive environment where students could help each other grasp challenging concepts. Ragini, being the Class Captain, utilized her leadership skills to motivate everyone and make the study sessions engaging.
