Karva Chauth -A Festival Of Indian women

Karva Chauth is a one-day festival celebrated annually by married Hindu women in which they observe a fast from sunrise to moonrise and pray for the well-being and longevity of their husbands. The festival is also observed by unmarried women who pray in the hope of securing a desired life partner.                                                                                                    Karva is another word for 'pot' (a small earthen pot of water) and chauth means 'fourth' in Hindi (a reference to the fact that the festival falls on the fourth day of the dark-fortnight, or Krishna paksh, of the month of Kartik).

Karwa Chauth is an important festival for many Hindu wives — when they fast and pray to Goddess Parvati for the long life and well-being of their husbands.

On Karwa Chauth, which is observed during Krishna Paksha Chaturthi in the Hindu month of Kartik, women wake up before dawn and take a bath, after which they eat a platter called sargi, made by their mother-in-law, which comprises foods that are energy-sustaining and nutritious.
Married women start preparation of Karwa Chauth pooja a day in advance. Married women buy the shringar or the traditional adornments and the other pooja items like the karwa, matthi, heena etc. Early in the morning, before sunrise, they prepare food and have it BLOGGING IN JULY 2022.                                                                                                          BLOGGING IN JUNE 2022                                                                                                          BLOGGING IN MAY 2022                                                                                                            BLOGGING IN APRIL 2022                                                                                                          BLOGGING IN MARCH 2022                                                                                                      BLOGGING CONTINUE

Grooming by Women on Karva chauth

Nine days before Diwali comes Karva Chauth. It is special day for married women, when they observe a fast and pray for their husband’s long life. Apart from fasting, Karva Chauth also signifies beauty, as all married women, regardless of age, dress up like brides. Mehndi, sindur, glass bangles, bindi are all part and parcel of the Karva Chauth festival.
Karva Chauth gives women the opportunity to look like a bride again! Applying henna on the hands is so much a part of the festival too. As far as the designs are concerned, there is immense variety. Fine lines, floral, paisley and highly intricate designs are done, with great detail.
Mangalsutra - This is just the ideal gift for Karwa Chauth as it is worn by married women. Maang Tikka - A maang tikka adds to the beauty of a woman and accentuates the glow of her face.

International Girl Child Day -11 0ctober

The subject or theme of the International Day of the Girl Child for 2022 is "Our time is now—our rights, our future." The UN General Assembly adopted resolution 66/170 on December 19, 2011 and designated October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child.

DEBATE ON INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY

International Day of the Girl Child is observed to celebrate the achievements of girls worldwide. This day also aims to educate girls about their rights, which will enable them to realise their full potential and transform the world around them
BLOGGING IN JULY 2022                                                                                                         11 October has been a key global moment to celebrate the power of girls and highlight the barriers they face since the United Nations adopted it as International Day of the Girl in December 2011.

BLOGGING IN ENGLISH 2022                                                                                                                    The Beijing Declaration is the first to specifically call out girls' rights. On December 19, 2011, United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declare October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child, to recognize girls' rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world.
A girl child needs to be mentored and taught the proper values that will improve her self worth. A girl child needs to be provided for, cared for, cherished and loved. A girl child needs to be affirmed repeatedly that she is priceless. Parents, care-givers, governments and the society at large owe her these.
These rights include nondiscrimination; the right to survival and development of potential; protection from harmful influences, abuses and exploitation; and full participation in family, cultural and social life.
Girls should have equal opportunities to complete their education. They should feel safe while in school. Girls should acquire adequate knowledge and skills to compete in the labor market. They should be enabled to learn life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to a world which is fast changing.
Because without her we cannot think about our existence. So, to save humans from extinction we have to take measures to save girl child. It's a common practice in India where people abort or kill girl child on birth. But, they should be saved given equal opportunity, and respect and opportunity to go ahead in life.
Girls who receive an education are less likely to marry young and more likely to lead healthy, productive lives. They earn higher incomes, participate in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families. Girls' education strengthens economies and reduces inequality.
Some of the main reasons which act as barriers for girl child education are poverty, gender bias, gender-based violence as well as lack of proper sanitation facilities in schools, etc.

World Smile Day- Friday 7,october 2022 With Inspiration

Every year World Smile day is celebrated on the first Friday of October. This year it is being celebrated on October 7. American graphic artist Harvey Ball from Worcester, Massachusetts is the one who started this day.Smiling increases mood-enhancing hormones while decreasing stress-enhancing hormones, including cortisol, and adrenaline. It also reduces overall blood pressure. And because you typically smile when you're happy, the muscles used trigger your brain to produce more endorphins—the chemical that relieves pain and stress.

SMILE MEANS 1 : a facial expression in which the eyes brighten and the corners of the mouth curve slightly upward and which expresses especially amusement, pleasure, approval, or sometimes scorn. 2 : a pleasant or encouraging appearance.
Smiling not only offers a mood boost but helps our bodies release cortisol and endorphins that provide numerous health benefits, including:
  • [1 Reduced blood pressure.
  • [2]Increased endurance.
  • [3]Reduced pain.
  • [4] Reduced stress.
  • [5] Strengthened immune system.

  • The researchers found that smiling frequently may actually make people feel worse if they're sort of faking it — grinning even though they feel down. When people force themselves to smile because they hope to feel better or they do it just to hide their negative emotions, this strategy may backfire.

  • HOW TO OBSERVE #WorldSmileDay. On World Smile Day, people worldwide are encouraged to do an act of kindness and make one person smile. Each year the Harvey Ball World Smile Foundation holds special events on World Smile Day. The day is wildly popular in Worcester, MA, the birthplace of the yellow smiley face.

    The Power of Your Smile
    • [1] Your smile can elevate your mood. Feeling a little blue?
    • [2]It's the first thing people notice.
    • [3] There are 19 different types of smiles.
    • [4] You might be born with your smile.
    • [5] It makes you sound friendly.
    • [6]Smiling can help you live longer.
    • [7] It can lower your blood pressure.
    • [8] A smile can reduce pain.

    Click Chemistry [ Nobel Prize]

INTRODUCTION  The term "click chemistry" was coined by K. Barry Sharpless in 1998, and was first fully described by Sharpless, Hartmuth C. Kolb, and M.G. Finn of The Scripps Research Institute in 2001.

"Click Chemistry" is a term that was introduced by K. B. Sharpless in 2001 to describe reactions that are high yielding, wide in scope, create only byproducts that can be removed without chromatography, are stereospecific, simple to perform, and can be conducted in easily removable or benign solvent
The click reaction has proven to be very useful for modifying functional biomolecules because of its high chemoselectivity. Biologic oligomers and polymers, such as peptides, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates, have been modified by using the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition click reaction.

The term "Click Chemistry" was introduced by Barry Sharpless and coworkers in 2001 to describe highly efficient and selective reactions that are mainly based on carbon-hetero bond formations. The term "Click" suggests that the molecules are as easily joined together as mechanical snap fasteners. Sharpless et al.
STOCKHOLM, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Scientists Carolyn Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and Barry Sharpless won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry on Wednesday for discovering reactions that let molecules snap together to create new compounds and that offer insight into cell biology.
    CLICK CHEMISTRY NOBEL PRIZE 2022
Click chemistry is not limited to biological conditions: the concept of a "click" reaction has been used in chemoproteomic, pharmacological, and various biomimetic applications. However, they have been made notably useful in the detection, localization and qualification of biomolecules.
The classic click reaction is the copper-catalyzed reaction of an azide with an alkyne to form a 5-membered heteroatom ring: a Cu(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC).

CONCLUSION;Click chemistry is a technique that allows molecular building blocks to snap together quickly and efficiently, the Nobel Prize Organisation says on its website. It is used to develop pharmaceuticals, map DNA and create new materials.
