Tomato flu virus- A Growing Concern

Apart from that, individuals may experience high fever, body pain, joint swelling, fatigue, stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. One may also experience cough and cold, as per expert.'
It is important to maintain proper hygiene. Utensils, clothes and other items used by the infected persons must be sanitised to prevent the flu from spreading. 4. You have to take a bath by mixing something that is resistant to germs in lukewarm water.
Blisters of tomato fever are often confused with that of chickenpox. But one should note that the chickenpox eruptions do not develop under the palms and feet. In contrast, one affected by tomato flu may get blisters under the palms and feet.
In order to treat the virus, there is no particular treatment required. The symptoms usually subside in seven to ten days.
Children exposed to the virus should drink plenty of boiling water to keep hydrated. The blisters and rashes should not be scratched. Maintain a clean and healthy environment. Take a warm shower or bath.
Try to keep hydrated your child by motivating them to drink plenty of water, milk, or juice, whatever they prefer. If your child develops symptoms of tomato fever, immediately isolate them from other children to inhibit disease progression.
Kerala was the first state to report the first three cases of Monkeypox in India. Now, 80 cases of tomato fever or tomato flu have been reported in the state, taking the total tally up to a 100 in India.
Usually, you'll need nothing more than rest and plenty of fluids to treat the flu. But if you have a severe infection or are at higher risk of complications, your doctor may prescribe an antiviral drug to treat the flu.

Experts say that Tomato Flu is not a new disease. The only thing is that it has got a new name -- Tomato Flu. In the research paper published in the Lancet Journal, it is nowhere written that it has been proved by a lab test or any other way that it is a new virus.

Tomato Flu does not spread like Covid-19 and nor it is dangerous. Tomato Flu is self-limiting. There are no specific drugs for it. It is suggested that children who have got infected from Tomato Flue should take rest, consume plenty of fluids and take hot water sponge.

Those having rashes should remain in isolation for five-seven days. The treatment for Tomato Flu or Tomato Fever is similar to chikungunya or dengue.
