TB2-bayraktar

The TB2 has now carried out more than eight hundred strikes, in conflicts from North Africa to the Caucasus. The bombs it carries can adjust their trajectories in midair, and are so accurate that they can be delivered into an infantry trench.

Unit cost of the Bayraktar TB2 is around $5 Million. Judging from Ukrainian contracts control unit for these drones also costs around $5 Million. In 2022 Lithuanians launched a fundraiser to buy the Bayraktar TB-2 drone for the Ukrainian military. A sum of $5 million was raised in 3 days.

A report, not officially confirmed, says that Russia is using Iranian-provided military drones in its invasion of Ukraine.
The Biden administration Friday announced it will send new weapons to Ukraine as part of a $775 million package, including new drones, armored vehicles and artillery.
How High Do Hot Air Balloons Go? Here are the altitudes military drones fly at: Very small military UAV fly at less than 1,067m above ground level [AGL] (<3,500ft AGL) altitudes and weigh up to 25kg (55lbs)

The United States remains, by far, the world's leader in drone technology. A decade of extensive operational work with drones has given the U.S. military tremendous experience with the architecture, design, and employment of UAV technology.
No matter where they fly, UAVs have limited access to weather information related to visibility and winds, not to mention precipitation. This can lead to drones that are blown off-course, crash because of heavy rain, or are even struck by lightning.
When a drone goes out of range, one of 3 things can happen: return to home, hover on the spot, fly away, or land on the spot. Most GPS drones (DJI) are set to return home automatically when they lose signal.
At the same time, Turkey is pulling ahead of most other Western militaries in terms of its own armed-drone capability. Its army reportedly operates more than 140 TB2s. Compare that to the UK, which has a drone fleet of just 10 US-made Reapers that are two decades old.
A high-quality drone camera can see 1,500-2,000 feet away during the day. At night, drone cameras can pick up an image about 165 feet away before it becomes blurry. The distance a drone camera can see depends on the terrain, nearby obstacles, quality of the drone camera, and air conditions
While a toy drone might have a range of about 20 to 100 yards, a high-end consumer drone can have a range of about 2.5 to 4.5 miles (4 – 8km). Mid-level consumer drones will typically have a range of about 0.25 to 1.5 miles (400m – 3km).
A significant number of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), contained in the arsenal of the Ukrainian Army, have been shot down by the Russian military, or damaged due to improper use.
Are drone jammers legal? Drone jammers are not legal in the US per FCC regulations. "The use of "cell jammers" or similar devices designed to intentionally block, jam, or interfere with authorized radio communications (signal blockers, GPS jammers, or text stoppers, etc.) is a violation of federal law.
How long is the typical battery life on a drone? A typical consumer drone can fly typically between 10 to 30 minutes, while more advanced professional drones can fly for even an hour or more.
Drones can be deployed quickly, for long periods of time, and to lethal effect at lower financial cost and risk to life for those using them, compared to piloted aircraft or ground forces projected over great distances. This makes it more likely that we will see more (covert) drone warfare, but less (declared) war.
The Bayraktar TB2 has brought precision air-strike capabilities to Ukraine and other countries. It's also a diplomatic tool, enabling Turkey's rise.
Bigger drones can carry 0.44 to 0.66 lbs of extra weight with no problems. Heavy-lift drones can lift to 661 lbs, which means they can easily lift a person as well.
Unlike armed drones that carry weapons under the wings, launching them and returning to base, the Switchblade "kamikaze" drone carries its own warhead, and blows itself up – taking out tanks, armored vehicles and artillery nests with it.
