मैं अक्षय हार्ट अस्पताल भोपाल में लकवा और ब्रेन स्ट्रोक से पीड़ित अपनी पत्नी के इलाज के दौरान कार्डियक एन्हांस्ड एक्सटर्नल काउंटरपल्सेशन के विशेषज्ञ श्री तरुण बनर्जी और श्री प्रिंस शर्मा से मिला। मैं बहुत प्रभावित हुआ जब मुझे उनके द्वारा पता चला कि वे बिना किसी सर्जरी के हृदय रोग का इलाज करते हैं। क्योंकि इससे लाखों लोगों को दिल की महंगी सर्जरी के बिना ठीक होने में मदद मिलेगी। (1) EECP क्या है: - EECP का पूर्ण रूप एन्हांस्ड एक्सटर्नल काउंटर पल्सेशन है। (१) ईईसीपी क्या है; -ईईसीपी रक्त वाहिकाओं में रक्त के प्रवाह को बढ़ाने की एक प्रक्रिया है। इसके द्वारा होमोडायनामिक प्रणाली को ठीक से काम करने के लिए बनाया जाता है। (२) यह कैसे काम करता है:;- जब दिल आराम की स्थिति में होता है तो विशेष रूप से डिजाइन की गई मशीन की मदद से पैर की रक्त वाहिकाओं को दबाव दिया जाता है। जब हृदय कंपन करता है तो उसे पैर से दबाव महसूस नहीं होता है, जो बदले में हृदय की रक्त वाहिकाओं को साफ करता है और नए संपार्श्विक का निर्माण होता है। (३) ईईसीपी के लाभ:- (ए) यह एंजियोप्लास्टी या बाईपास सर्जरी के बिना रक्त के प्रवाह को बढ़ाने का एक सरल, लागत प्रभावी और कम समय लेने वाला तरीका है। (३) यह हृदय रोग, मधुमेह और पक्षाघात के इलाज का एक गैर शल्य चिकित्सा तरीका है। (३) एनजाइना का इलाज बिना बाईपास या एंजियोप्लास्टी के किया जाता है। (४) अब तक इस चिकित्सा के कोई दुष्प्रभाव नहीं बताए गए हैं। इस थेरेपी के बाद ही अच्छे परिणाम देखने को मिलते हैं। (५) यह एफडीए और सीई मान्यता प्राप्त मशीन के साथ व्यवहार किया जाता है। भारत के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ अब्दुल कलाम ने २५.०२, २००५ को मुंबई में अपने संबोधन में हृदय संबंधी बीमारियों के इलाज के लिए गैर-उपचारात्मक साधनों की शुरुआत करने पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की। उन्होंने कहा, "हृदय रोग के इलाज की तकनीक धीरे-धीरे बहुत आक्रामक से कम आक्रामक तरीकों की ओर बढ़ रही है। सत्तर के दशक में कोरोनरी धमनी की बीमारी के इलाज में बाईपास सर्जरी बड़ी खबर थी। अस्सी के दशक में, यह बैलोन एंजियोप्लास्टी थी। नब्बे के दशक में, यह स्टेंट था और अब २०वीं सदी में हम EECP के साथ पूरी तरह से गैर-इवेसिव उपचार की ओर एक कदम और आगे बढ़ते हैं।

Only good results are seen after this therapy. (5) It is treated with FDA and CE recognised machine. Dr Abdul kalam ,former president of India in his address in Mumbai on 25.02 2005 made pleasure for introducing non evasive means to treat cardiac ailments. He said "Technology for treating cardiovascular disease is slowly moving from very invasive to less invasive methods.In the seventees bypass surgery was the big news in the treatment of coronary artery disease. In the Eightees ,it was ballon angioplasty. In the ninetees ,it was the stent and now in the 20th century we move a step further to a totally non -evasive treatment with EECP.
