Back To School (English)

Governments ,Most children, parents and academics are sincerely look forward to getting back to offline schools. Online schooling is merely an alternative while the overall growth of youngsters is possible on campus.It is high time to take all necessary precautions and allow the children to lead a normal life.          Lockdown has impacted the mental health of the youngsters who were  forcibly locked inside their homes.                   Children have been confined to their homes since the new  academic session began.Although we could impart curriculum by online teaching ,however, the growth of their emotional well-being is possible only through normal schooling. Opening of schools will bring back normalcy in the life of students who are now feeling frustrated at home. Schools should open by following all standard operating procedures. Parents should also support this move and follow guidelines provided by school and government. Authorities with help of core groups should monitor schools. Any violation of covid protocol should be dealt firmly.The 'One size -fits-all' approach that leads to sweeping decisions for all rather than a more differentiated response is a major obstacles for allowing students to return to campus learning . Schools  that could open with clear and proven SOP to protect pupils could be allow to open.                                  The downside of schools closure is far worse than what we are protecting. There are rampart cases  of child abuse,malnutrition in low income families, rise in mental health cases due to lack of peer of peer interactions and sever learning loss  due to inaccessibility of data and devices. We need to find a way to safely reopen schools and with parents consent,allow  children  to attend physical classes. A universal decision will not work and has to be localised depending on the local  situation and case rates.Epidemiological data indicates that children are less at risk,so if teachers and school staff are vaccinated on priority, we can create conditions for  safe reopening of schools.                                  It is  just a matter of time when students will start playing in the school playground, perform in debate competition at school amphitheatre and clear the subject-related  doubts at their schools.
