News of getting medals by school students in olympics,excited me a lot.Being a school teacher It is things of interest to me,As we are also engaged in all round development of school children. I searched about these Olympics medal winner and their background. Though little information i get Here are some details about them.
(A)Name:- Momiji Nishiya.She plays skateboarding. Her age at the Tokyo Olympics was 13 year and 330 days equivalent to our 9th standard students. Nishiya won the inaugural women's skateboarding street competition . She was the youngest to win a gold medal in Tokyo and for japan with a score of 15.26 points on her fifth and final run for the gold.She also became the second youngest champion in olympics history. (B)Kokona Hiraki:- She plays skateboarding. She was 12 years and 343 days old at the Olympics. Kokona won the silver medal in the women's park skateboarding with the best score of 59.04.She also became the youngest Japanese Olympic medallist ever. .(c) Sky Brown :- She also plays skateboarding.She was 13 years and 28 day old at the Olympics. Sky took the bronze medal in the women's park skateboarding with the best score of 56.47 on her final run.She also became the youngest Olympic medallist for great Britain. (D)Rayssa leal:She won the silver medal in women's street skateboarding. Rayssa is now the youngest medallist in the Olympics history of Brazil. She was 13 years and 204 days old at the Olympic. (E)Quan Hongchan :She plays Diving.Her age was 14 at the Olympic. The Chinese diver woved everyone in the final of the women's individual 10m platform diving in Tokyo. Quan received perfect 10 scores from all seven judges for her second and fourth dives in the competition , enough for her to seal the gold medal. These youngest players are source of inspiration for millions of school children accross the glob.We should also study sports administration of schools of these children and apply in our school system. In tribal communities of india,such prospective children can be searched. Need is only to give them world-class training.
