National Siblings Day-2022

Blogging In March

National Siblings Day is a celebrated every year on April 10. The holiday honors our brothers and sisters.

April 10 is an annual reason to call up your siblings and reminisce as only you can. It's National Siblings Day.
Though the day is meant as a joyous occasion like Mother's Day or Father's Day, it was inspired by tragedy. New York City woman Claudia Evart was inspired to create the Siblings Day Foundation in the mid-1990s after both of her siblings died at a young age, and she wasn't able to tell them goodbye.
"Our mission is to help all brothers and sisters to reconnect," Evart said in a video promoting the holiday. "Cherish, love and respect your brothers and sisters. The deep bond you share is truly a special gift."
Is there a national oldest child day? The oldest children get the spotlight more so than usual on October 20. Being the oldest child means a lot of responsibility, so we celebrate them on this holiday!
According to the authors' theory, parents have an incentive to punish their first-born child if that child engages in risky behaviors in order to deter such behavior by younger siblings.
Glass children are siblings of a person with a disability. The word glass means people tend to see right through them and focus only on the person with the disability. 'Glass' is also used because the children appear strong, but in reality are not. These children have needs that are not being met.17-Apr-2018
