Online Education: Boon or Bane (English)

We from long ago facing different types of divide in our society.Rich-poor,forward, back word,literate -illiterate .Now with advent of  pandemic, Online education is on boom.Due to dangerous virus, Everyone is advocating in favour of online education which has made digital divide in world. Today we will discuss some advantage and disadvantages of online education.            (1)Advantages (a)In some advance countries  students are taught through kindles and tabs in school instead of physical books to save paper and ultimately save environment.                        (b)All the schools, college and coching classes adopted teaching online through platforms like Zoom,Google meet,Cisco WebEx,Microsoft teams and etc in order to maintain safe distance and preventing students from infection.                  (c)As the online lectures can be recorded,students can revisit any lecture and watch it again if they have any doubt in it.                  (d)Opens various new options for learning difficult concepts through audio -visuals,through animated you tube videos and podcasts which can be used to enhance the understanding of students about any topic.                                 (3)Helps the students to attend classes from anywhere so that they don't miss any classes and there is less loss in students.   (d)Gives the students much more free time than before  to relax so that there is not much stress and burden on them.     (e)Gives students their much needed "me time" in which they can follow their hobbies.                           Disadvantages:- (a)Increased screen time increased stress among students.                            (b)No sport activities , deprive students from advantage of good health and learning of team work.                 (c)Extremely poor students from low income group,are deprived of their basic right of Education.                      But now, the most important part!The possible solutions! Now lets discuss some solutions which can be used to tackle the negatives.      (1) To lessen  the distractions students  can turn on the do not disturb mode which is available on most of the devices.    (2) Teachers can introduce new and interesting types of teaching method so that students can understand the concepts more clearly and most importantly no one is bored  in the classes. This will automatically lessen the problem of students chatting with other.                          (3)The class can be divided into two parts of approx.25 each so that teacher can give more personal attention to each child.                       (4) Development of a proper and reliable software for conducting online classes and exams which can prevent students from  cheating which will compel students to study properly.                  (5)Lesser periods can be taken on one day so their is not much strain on students eyes.              (6)Now ,there can't be any solution of 6th and most important problem. We just  can hope that  the situation gets better and we go back  to our roots of School class room and playground.
