Assessment is a vital tool in the modern teacher 'tool kit and takes a variety of forms. Teacher use  a range of assessment methods to pinpoint strength anf weakness of students. Different countries have different boards to asses students. Different boads adopt different evaluation  techniques. In this blog we shall study types of assements and how they differ in terms of Boards of various countries. It has first evolved system of continuos and comprehensive evaluation. Formative and Summative system of examination.Word formative means serving to form something, especially having a profound influence on persons development "His formative years"Formative evaluations are evaluations for learning. They are often ungraded and informal. There aim is to provide both the students and the instructer with a guage of where level of understanding is at the current moment and enable the instructor to adjust accordingly to meet the emerging need  of the class.While Summative assessment of learning is the assessment of the participants at the end of planed instructional programs. Summative evaluations provide quantitative data and are focused on outcomes.
