The word MMA or Mixed Martial-Arts is a sport, but on the other hand, the word UFC( Ultimate Fighting Championship) is the organization. MMA ( Mixed Martial Arts) is the combination of various fighting like boxing, wrestling. On the other hand, the word UFC aim is to promote martial arts.
IF you are good at one, you are probably better than the average guy off the street at the other, but by no means does that make you world class. All that being said, Max Holloway is definitely the best boxer in the UFC.
Boxing happens in a ring whereas the UFC fights in a cage. The cage is necessary for grappling and wrestling as it can help or hurt fighters in those situations. The boxing ring however, mainly serves as a way to keep the fight in one area.
Mixed martial arts, UFC in particular, is a tougher sport than boxing, according to Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko told Business Insider that it was harder to excel in the UFC because the competition is so fierce
