Pippa is billed as a heroic tank battle film, that underscores the bravery of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta (Ishaan), a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron, who, along with his siblings, fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
Released Date Pippa, which was earlier supposed to hit the theatres on December 9, 2022, will now be out on December 2. Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Ishaan wrote, "PIPPA in cinemas December 2nd, 2022.
The film is based on The Burning Chaffees, written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The movie takes its title from the Russian amphibious war tank called the PT-76, popularly known as "Pippa".

Durgapur was not the only city where the actor and the team of Pippa were welcomed with open hearts. A week ago, Khatter shared a glimpse into the filming of his movie in Baidyanathpur to add on to his 'Pippa diaries'.
The storyline of the movie follows the lives of three siblings in the Battle of Garibpur. It took place in India’s eastern during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Pippa’s title is a reference to the superb Russian landing combat tank PT-76, which was utilized during the war. The film is based on The Burning Chaffees, written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta with its budget standing at Rs.30 crore. The trailer begins with the time ‘3rd December 1971’ flashing across the screen. Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declares war on Pakistan following an attack on India’s airbase. Then, we can see the roles of Ishaan, Mrunal, Priyanshu, and Soni Rajan. Ishaan can be seen wearing an army uniform as he leads his fellow soldiers in their struggle against Pakistan.
